Pros

The simple temperature rotor-dial works perfectly. The one downside is the temp dial is very hard to read and is not 100% accurate.

This works great with my hydor canister filter. Don't forget to get a pair of hose connectors. Has worked great for me minus the unforseen hose size of the fx6.

The thing is bullet proof. But 50 bucks for 8 years ain't too shabby.

It's so nice not to have the extra clutter inside the aquarium. Will never go back to in-tank heaters.

Cons

The temp in the tank is never about 66–67 no matter how i set the heater temp. It has a 1 year warranty and we are 8-9 months in. If running canister filter make sure the hose dimensions are correct.
