To remove baseboards i used two crowbars but unfortunately id sometimes damage the drywall by the bars body creating a hole that i would later have to patch and paint

The force of trying to pry a nailed baseboard off the wall was evenly distributed and short of having to touchup paint some of the drywall a gaping hole was never created

Then insert the puller over the baseboard and gently hammer it down

It will slip right into behind the baseboard

Now you just have to gently pull the tool and the baseboard pops off the wall
