Came with the ends knotted presumably to keep it from getting tangled which was easy to undo but left big kinks in the cord that i had to cut out

The texture of the cord seems more like chinese knotting cord rather than satin rat tail but for my purposes that was ok

If your are working kumihimo with 8 threads please be aware that this makes quite a delicate braid along the lines of 3mm
