It is loose on the front and not the side. Not like the photo at all. Maybe there is a new batch that does not fit like the old ones.

It did eventually fall off because of a loose bottom screw but that was probably my fault as i didnt tighten it after mounting and dismounting it off a tripod several times

I often drive with the camera in one hand by the grip resting on my thigh it couldnt be any more comfortable in this usage

The side panel for the the memory card slot and micro usb has a cut out for easy access

I will most likely replace this with a brown matching leather neck strap instead
