Pros

This fan weighs a ton and really moves the air. It runs great and low speed rpm of that version is perfect for my bedroom. Whisper quiet and guaranteed for life.

The only grief for how old they are is the pull chain will eventually pull out. Should last a lifetime though.

This hunter fan is no slouch nor a piece of rubbish. The craftsmanship is first rate. The build is absolutely sublime.

Only issue is a little wobble which we may try to correct by changing the blade placement. No more concerns with weather affecting the wooden blades.

These use real öill, and it easy get excited with lubrication, and over lubricate. Oil bath for the rotating bearings.

Cons

I am very displeased that hunter has decided not to maintain an inventory of blades for these fans. Dripped oil after 6 months…died after 14 months…chinese junk….

Looks almost the same as my other hunter original

Competitiveness

I tried to replace the pull chain switch and the direction switch but could not find the correct parts even from hunter

It is based on the original oil bath hunter design just a lot more expensive today

The one pictured is from the 1980s much older than i am and still working better than about every other model i have seen
