Pros
The cup mute fits the size of a 5-1/2” trumpet bell. It is made of a thicker material than traditional cup mutes. You can use a lighter to trim the corks down to the size that fits your horn.
Gift for great granddaughter’s trumpet. Got this for my grandson. The mute is pretty durable, and will not dent.
Cons
Even 60-grit sandpaper will not touch this stuff. Corks too thick. Not crisp enough. Need to do research on cork.

This newer version of the go to cup mute of the past is so heavily coated that it no longer has the vibrancy that it once had
