Pros & Cons
Pros
Bought for my grandson whose in a high school marching band and orchestra. Purchased for my daughter. Perfect for our hs student.
This is an 'old fashioned' straight mute that was totally common from the 20's to the 60's. Still with good projection and tuning. Although my primary instrument is sax, i play trumpet in several ensembles. Excellent choice for ensemble playing.
These are just what you need for your horn. Fits very nicely in trumpet bell and does what it's supposed to do. Look on line for instructions.
Cons
Does not reduce sound as advertised.
