What imperfections were on the outside i was not concerned about but inside i was concerned that any little openings in the glaze would not only allow bacteria but liquid to slowly seep into the ceramicstoneware causing issues underneath the finish and compromising the safety of the vessel over time

Regarding the pinhole imperfections on the inside of my crock i asked if i would still be able to use it

You need to make sure the water level in the lip stays up but other than that there is no maintenance involved

Not sure why but it looks fine in blue and it sits in my basement so is not a display piece

I searched for an american company and got what i wanted although of course crafted in china

I found placing too much makes it impossible to place the rocks into place
