Also the painted end of each pencil exactly matches the color that is transferred to the paper

With some of the darker color it is difficult to judge the actual color based on the pencil core but you can be certain that your drawn line will be the exact shade shown on the painted end of the pencil

Most were a supreme disappointment with the exception of prang brand which are surprisingly decent for the ultra low price but lack the vitality of colors

These are not quite as smoothbuttery going onto paper nor as vibrant as a nice set of prismacolors
