The tongs are not thin enough to fit under a stamp easily and safely. The bend of the pads is at the wrong angle. When pressed does not seem to grasp the stamp really firmly.
It looks to be stainless steel, but not polished at all. This is like a $2 item. Do not recommend this product.

I recommend taking a file or a block and sand paper and flattening the bottom tong to an almost sharp edge so i will be easier to slide under the stamp with out risk of damaging the edge

There is no chance of catching a perforation creasing a stamp or in any other way causing damage even to very old and delicate stamps
