I was sceptical too even with the great reviews because of the cost but this is actually a great straightener
With the 3coupon and the gold is a very pretty color looks great on my vanity so thats a plus hehe
I got the pink one and i was impressed with the colour
But somehow all the static was gone after one pass with the straightener

So i’m amazed that this bad boy only cost 45 and works so well
Well worth it for the price you pay
Was very surprised seeing as how the price was so low
Wasnt expecting much considering the price but man does it work

I had to return the first one that i purchased as it had a fairly deep scratch on one of the plates and because of that it tugged and pulled at my hair

My only complaint is i wish it had a lock to keep the plates together but a fabric hair band will work in lieu of

However the covering around the plates and outer shell burned off into my hair within the first few uses despite using lower heat settings the description also said it was suitable for curling styles so i thought it would be safer for my hair to curve around the shell as is the method for curling

I received it as a christmas gift but had specifically requested it simply because it is compatible with north america and uk power
