Pros & Cons
Pros
Hoya hd3 uv filters are the best filters i've used in over 4 decades of photography. Perfect for protecting the sony rx10 iii. Using on a sony full-frame lens.
Cons
This filter is very hard to clean. You guys really are sloppy. Anyone who inspects this lens will watch dust collect and - no matter what - blower/anti-static brush/pancro with kim wipes.
Highlights
Quality
Sturdy and they do their job perfectly
Excellent quality with no degradation of image quality
The fingerprint and dust resistance is hard to accept until you have used one of these for a while stuff just doesnt stick
No matter how many sensor swabs and microfiber cloths i used they were very hard to clean
Price
Very expensive but arguably the best uv filter made
For price i think it is fair for me
Expensive but worth it for quality performance
Competitiveness
The earlier hd series from hoya were remarkable
Doesnt get much better than hoya hd3
Normally i buy the same brand accessories as the camera and lens that i am using but not anymore
