Scott adams, creator of the dilbert comic strip, claims the opposite in this book. It is exactly the sort of overbearing worldview that dilbert was so good at making fun of. You never know when a cartoonist is joking.
This argument is quite frankly bizarre. His voice start to give me a headache when i got to chapter 12, that a signal that this was garbage had to shut it off.

The system vs goals thing is just a shallow marketing slogan. He entirely misses the fact that you need both systems and goals. A goal without a system for achieving it is just as useless as a system without a goal.
