The stool is form fitting to most toilets and when you push it up to the porcelain the stool is nearly completely out of the way

The height is a bit higher than the squatty potty brand ones but i find it works just as well

However it is much sturdier than the squatty potty and can also be used as a step stool

I dont bother folding the stool down because the shape of my toilet allows me to push the stool back and its not underfoot when its not needed

The humidity in my bathroom isnt affecting it at all and i cant imagine it growing mildew but i do spray it down with vinegar every time i clean the bathroom because its wood

Our western toilets are definitely not designed with comfortable pooping in mind

It can easily be folded down if you want to keep it out of sight but i find it doesnt get in the way so well probably leave it out as my younger kids can also use it
