However a good chunk of the book also involves the trials and tribulations of one truly wretched johnny truant who usually adds spice to the situation by describing his own deteriorating mental situation while trying to unravel what the hell is going on in the story himself but who also trails off into many meandering nonsequiters about failed relationships and his tumultuous sex life all apparently thrown in to distract you from the true story thats hiding behind all the ghost story trappings

And i know that im sure to get a much richer experience if i would just open my mind and see past the annoying bits for the point and it would just completely blow my mind and rock my world but like many other stories that use this tactic visual novel the 25th ward tries a similar approach i cant help but feel like a good spooky story is slightly ruined by overemphasis on the point and the clever attempts to make the point even stronger by hiding it under layers of nonsense

Then everyone tells me that the reason i dont get the point is because it was never truly a horror story to begin with and i was suckered and thats the real reason i dont like it
