There is no floater thing and the bottom isn't right. Hose connector is not universal. Googling the model number it looks like they sent me a pump for basement flooding.

As with many of these products there’s a bit of standing water at the end since it has to have the bottom submerged to suck it out

I have to tether it to a fixed upright position because letting it cutoff at the normal point would leave 100s of gallons in the pool which is too much to bail out manually
