Pros
Father malachi martin is an expert in understanding possession and exorcism because he actually performed exorcisms as a qualified priest. The book describes the formidable struggle between the priest and the evil spirits during every exorcism.

Cons
Reads more like a geraldo riveria (sp? I only got as far as the first few pages of the introduction (written in 1992), and i feel it totally fed into/off of the 'satanic panic' the author tends to be a bit wordy and long winded in his explantions.
