Reads more like a geraldo riveria (sp? I only got as far as the first few pages of the introduction (written in 1992), and i feel it totally fed into/off of the 'satanic panic' the author tends to be a bit wordy and long winded in his explantions.

These exorcism stories are fantastical, and i doubt they are true. The marianne story is so familiar that i neither cringed nor got a chill while reading. Each story of the three i have read so far, is so preposterous in the details.

Not worth the time and the money except for a few huckster-cheap chills and thrills. Perhaps the other 3 cases deviate from this. That is actually not accurate. It's immensely slow! It takes forever to get going and it's very dry.
