For the price i had hoped that it could used as both

Other than the 50x versus 300x magnification this is a wonderful tool for the price
This equates to a magnification of 50x which isnt terrible but is a long shot from the 300x advertised
Given i have a 23 computer monitor this would mean your computer monitor would need to be 6 times as large to obtain 300x magnification
Take the pics in hires mode and then zoom in with your computer softwarethe pics i uploaded are of the edge of a pocket knife blade

The one labeled low resolution will not enlarge much further without pixeling out

The one enabled high resolution is shot at the scopes highest res setting and i tried to crop both of the pictures so they have the same magnification

The final pic is an enlargement of a hires picture enlarged about as far as i could get it before it too started pixeling out

The software that was included installed easily and seems to run fine on my windows 10 machine

The stand slides into the base and the camera microscope slides directly into the stand itself
