Great quality solid metal construction no plastic pros full metal latch and easy installationcons cost a little more costly than just a basic plastic replacement latch but worth for more durabilityi received this item fairly quickly and was pleased with the construction of it

I paid a little more than what it wouldve cast for just a basic plastic latch but i am purchasing this because my last latch was not sturdy enough not that i was using superhuman strength but that the original plastic latch had cracked and broken off

All i had to do was remove a bit of the shroud surrounding the latch remove the remaining plastic from the broken latch place this new latch onto the end of the hood release cable and tighten retainer screw and then replace the shroud

When the cheap plastic hood release cable broke off my civic i thought all hope was lost and have been using a pair of pliers to release the hood
