Sharkbites are expensive and i'm still uncertain (although i have used them for lesser applications) how they will fare in the long haul. In comparing this product to the competition at the local a*e hardware, this one seems superior to me.

Ordered the wrong size not worth returning if i had purchased from home depot returning it would have been no problem

Though i cleaned the copper pipe and its ends inside out with emery paper the valve leaked at first on one end

But the other side then leaked

I then carefully tightened that nut several times over time until all leaks stopped

I was unable to even budge the lids bolt on that outside valve though i had the proper socket
