Pros
Battery backup garage door opener in my shed that doesn't have ac power. Charged by a 100w solar panel/controller setup. The battery voltage varies from 11. Volts to 12 volts.
Solved a * of a problem. Now i'm set for camping and planned power outages. Hopefully this one lasts longer.
It works well. Highly recommended. This converter is perfect. Alas, that is, what it is.

It was not warm nor sheer nor thick but it did reduce voltage

The old one was having trouble maintaining the current where it would cause the light to flash whenever it got power for a few seconds

This happens when the batteries are being charged via solar via a pwm charge controller or even when doing thing such as turnin on or off an electrical motor water pump
