A 600 square foot room needs airflow of at least 540 cfm. Your typical hardcover book has more area than the airflow coming out of this book. It really is the airflow that is hindering this unit.

The swing door does not adjust down far enough to blow air at a more horizontal level. This is because the way its design to blow out the air. The air is blown out thru the top.
