Packaging/appearance
If you use the crystals remove the white strip and the wood strip
Also the crystals and logs can be replaced by taking off the glass
Competitiveness
This is a much better value than popular brand name alternatives
This is meant for a 2x6 framed wall if your planning on installing it all the way in like i did
My wife found this to have better reviews than the costly other products

I built a fake wall out 7 so the fireplace would sit flush i had the insert hole done before the fireplace even arrived by purolator

We needed to make the hole larger once it arrived but the measurements in the manual were correct so it was a relatively easy fixwe hadn’t covered the wall yet so the studs were still exposed

The only negative is control panel lights up every 10 or 15 minutes

Had this for about a month and noticed that there is now a ticking noise coming from the unit so something mechanical my guess would be a bearing is off
