Pros & Cons

Pros

I have a small kitchen and needed a place to prep food and to store some of my appliances. The drawers are solid wood and slides were pre-assembled. The upper shelf lays on top of screw-in shelf keys that can be raised or lowered. Even the drawer bott...  Read More

It's sturdy enough for everyday use, but you can't help but notice just a bit of wobble and hear a few creaks when you move the unit around. It's fairly stout, not a flimsy last-a-week piece of junk.

Took me about 1 1/2 hours to assemble by myself. There is styrofoam in the packing material so it was messy but most of the mess was left outside. Inside was neatly packed with a lot of foam and everything was tightly nested.

Parts labled (even the hardware), and put together relatively easily. Directions are clear and concise. It takes a medium sized phillips screw driver plus what comes with it to assemble.

Cons

Magnets stick to it with force, so i'm pretty sure it's going to rust or become discolored. The top doesn't fit into the frame, the lower shelf is wobbly, and the finish is subpar. One of the drawers is also crooked to push in and out.

Kitchen island reminds me of an over-sized microwave oven cart. It's a big cart, and for a microwave cart, it is overpriced.
