From their feedback it was clear that in order to correctly respond the software would need to step up otherwise an absurd amount of time would be spent manually doing everything in sketchup

So it was going to be either shelling out for a hodgepodge collection of sketchup extensions to have it work better for architectural purposes or look elsewhere

There have only been a few quirks of the software that i wound up needing to solve by just trying different options usually its odd floating walls that extend out beyond a ceiling or roof and its usually because things werent aligned correctly in the floor plan view

Hdpro also doesnt formally do heating ducts so you have to fake it with other 3d objects and you wont get any hvac estimates

Well see if it was worth the time and money in the end when the structural engineer can work with the dxf export and what the city says in the end
