Pros & Cons
Pros
Bought a few of these for kombucha brewing. However i have another batch of sauerkraut fermenting in this jar and it makes a perfect size batch. Great starter jar for home fermenting.
Cons
Glass is too thin. Flexing on the plastic cover. Cracked during second fermentation. Wasn’t pressure fermenting just normal.
Highlights
Quality
Let it go for two weeks it held the seal perfectly and the release valve was functioning perfectly
Jar is definitely sturdy has a good weight to it
Done two bathes of sauerkraut pickles and now have komboucha in one and a mead experiment in the other
As it ferments it pushes out the liquid either out of the jar or into your airlock
Price
Totally worth the price would have bought more than one but there was only one left in stock when i ordered
Good price for a kit and works really great
Since this was our first time making sauerkraut we didnt want to spend a lot of money
Great for the price so i bought a second one
Shipping
Just to note i have not used this yet it was received on time well packaged intact and complete
Packaging/appearance
First one received was cracked in the bottom
