However the lack of memory in the unit might annoy some people

If you for example set the unit to 77 degrees and unplug it it will return to the 85 degree default the next time you turn it on

Also note that if you prefer the oscillating heat the default position is a the standstill position so you will have to choose the oscillating function every time you turn it on

I wanted a unit that had a remote since i do sometimes find in the middle of the night i get hotter than expected and need to turn it off regardless of the room temp
