Pros & Cons
Pros
The oil on your hands and in the wool lubricates them. The 000000 grade'sanding' delivered by the wool sliding over them finishes the job. Hiyahiya needles are sharp but i prefer that!
Hiyahiya's have a reputation for sharp points, and these did not disappoint. They are marginally sharper than my chaiogoos, but they work excellently for decreasing on my socks.
The hiya hiya cord is a great way to knit sock fabric. The sharp points make it easy to knit the tight little stitches we use. You can get your transition stitches nice and snug.
Cons
The cord portion of these is really rough - like a crimping machine was applied to the cord when the tips were joined. No fun to knit with at all. Gave up halfway thru a sock.

They are a dream to knit with and theres the bonus of the quality hiya hiya tips

They are not as sharp and after you use them for a while they are just as fast as the metal ones
Competitiveness
