Formaldyhide evidently is used to prevent mold etc in fabrics that are stored for long periods. It's a perfect medium weight with lovely design that gathers at the bottom corners. It is very durable.

It doesn’t go to the floor on both sides of my king bed but since i have a wood border that wasn’t necessary for me

It is still more than long enough

If you have a platform bed with storage underneath coverlet probably wont hide the storage
