The cord is usb and the clock comes in two pieces you just attach the stand into the bottom of the clock itself

I enjoy the clock only problem is the screen is alot smaller than i thought it would be although i love the alarm it is nice and loud

If you wanted an alarm that can withstand being thrown across the room because youre tired of trying to hit the snooze button then you might want to look elsewhere
