The holder magnet is strong and holds the phone well. It holds my iphone very securely, and the fact it's a fast charger is a big bonus. The charger is outstanding as not only does it fix and clamp in place and hold fast its also magsafe.
Charging cable plugs in from the bottom.
It's not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and this is a quality item.

It wouldn’t work in a car with motorised open and close function like a ‘jaaaaaag’ as clarkson says
