As for the benefits of using it i havent noticed any change or improvement in the place i use it im not even sure if they would be noticeable

The lamp did not come with a 2 light setting it is just on and off swit h

The reason i am only giving it 3 stars is because many people noted that their lamp included a dimmer switch or at least a highlow setting however mine only turns onoff

If i knew it did not have a highlow setting i would have opted for a unit that did because of this

Only complaint in one light bulb was smashed but there was a second one in there so it all worked out
