Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

I have two mutts (we know mama is a lab mix and her son showed 50% great pyrenees in dna testing) m mama is 62lbs and puppy (i use that term lightly) is 68lbs. One of my dogs loves them, the other is indifferent.

Red heeler mix needed something to chew that was digestible and chicken free. This is one of the longer lasting cheese chews we've found.

Cons

They smell really moldy/mildewy. These are very brittle and narrow. When they seem to sit around in amazon and harden they become extremely prone to breakage and are very harmful.

It’s a natural product and a very long process so these things happen but obviously more so with some companies than others

Further purchases of yak chews ended up with the chews shattering into chunks immediately and my dog swallowing them within the hour

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

My dogs have had the chews for over an hour now and theyre maybe three quarters through it

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Ive immediately gone and ordered more

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

All these types of chews are expensive because of the extremely long preparation and curing process

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The treat should also be very smooth and look somewhat like plastic except for some cheesecloth imprints on the sides and there shouldn’t be any cracks or missing chunks

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The only discernible smell should be a very faint smokey smell never any actual aged pungent cheesy odor

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Also if your dog drops it from a low height and it shatters or finishes it within an hour or 2 all these things indicate an issue with the curing process
