It is very wasteful to buy a whole set when only a few are useful albeit inexpensive. The stencils are cardboard. What paint wouldn't turn the skinny parts sodden, floppy?

To make them last i painted clear acrylic on both sides could have sprayed but i like thicker paint for protection

After the second bin pulling up the tape removed the top layer of cardboard from half the letters two of which tore through and had to be replaced
