Upon close examination i noticed that the laser unit which mounts on the bottom of the light unit was pointing down slightly it was further down at the front than at the rear and there was a gap in front between the top of the laser housing and the bottom of the light housing

So i removed the 4 tiny screws that hold the laser unit onto the bottom of the light housing then detached the laser unit i could see flashing on the top from fabrication that was preventing the laser unit housing from fully seating onto the bottom of the light housing
