Pros

It looks great, was easy to install, and is the envy of my neighborhood. Great quality and it definitely adds some curb appeal! Overall, very happy with purchase and wouldn't hesitate to order again.

We were given a very nice mailbox made of heavy cast aluminum and needed a good post to bare its weight (18lbs) it looks nice and pairs well with a gibraltar wide mailbox. It's very sturdy.

Use two bags of concrete to assure sturdiness. You have to dig a deep hole but it's worth it. There is minimal sway with the weather and it secured firmly into the ground per manufacturer recommendations. Use gravel for drainage.

An electric screwdriver is a help. Using a thicker piece with a bit larger screws would likely solve this issue but probably add some cost.

Cons

To my dismay there was no hole in the back of the post. There is a more than 1/16 of an inch of space once the horizontal support is installed to the post, which in turn distributes that instability to the platform that holds the mailbox. After almost... Read More
