If the collar beeps it does deliver a stimulating shock so i recomend triing it out before putting it on the animal to discover the desired sensitivity to adjust the controler too

Once the animal is past the total ten feet the collar quits stimulating

I wanted the dog to be able to wander fully around the house and the instructions were clear that you just have to twist the two wires wherever you want to cancel the signal

The dog rarely goes near the perimeter anymore but i replace the battery every six months or if i see the dog going closer than normal
