If it seems to start slowly thats because the author is building a world several worlds actually from scratch

There are villains that make one wonder why none of the protagonists can see how nasty theyre about to become when you just know the evil is about to manifest in mere moments

If it isnt integral to the story then the author shouldnt weight the reader down with fiction that may do more to unravel the story than support it
