    There are none of the bright colours and fancy bells and whistles seen on most modern boots

    The sole is a fairly highrise in the sense that the heel is 35 mm from the ground and the rest of the shoe is about 23mm

    Compared to the regular ravine boot they are almost weirdly light

    For my purposes the lites are the better choice i have tested them out on freezing and wet nights trudging through mud

    If you were going to subject your boots to quite extreme conditions like a bad highland winter i would guess that the regular ravines may be the best choice
