I wanted a larger hard drive for my new macbook but didnt want to pay the ripoff mark up price that apple charges for a larger drive so i bought the macbook ordered this drive andvoilai had a macbook with a 500gb drive for less than half of what apple would have charged

Also because the hard drive is a user replaceable part upgrading you hard drive does not void your macbook warrantyi checked this with the folks at mac before opening up the computer and they confirmed that it would not affect the warranty

After reinstalling the os this hard drive is working flawlessly at a fraction of the cost from apple

Time will tell how long this last but the original hd in the mac only lasted about a year

It was packaged very badly and the hd was laying on the bottom of the box

When i installed it into my computer it didnt show up on disk utility macintosh and i was very unhappy
