The image clears all the way to the top. My only complaint is that you can kind of see the image when the mug is cool. Great joke for anyone that loves skyrim, and if someone plays games, they will at least get the joke.

I was a bit worried how the mug would hold up in their dishwasher and that the heat resistance would break down over time leaving the image available at all times
