Pros

It is the best of both worlds because you can pull off the loose undercoat quickly and clean it quickly. Daily brushing (using a normal wire brush) seems to be all he needs. We have a yellow lab who sheds a lot.

Many people have pressed the yes button at the end of my reviews asking if the review was helpful. This rake is absolutely amazing. Very pleased with this purchase.

Black lab and alaskan * love this cleaning tool. I have two different breeds so it is quite useful. This does a great job cleaning up his loose hairs.

The blade is pretty thick and strong not that usual flimsy stainless steel. It has a long handle with a good grip. Ergonomically designed handle that should combat hand fatigue.

This brush is amazing! Easier and faster than using a normal brush. Does not irritate skin like a slicker brush. Tried a few brushes and other tools and combs.

Cons

The removed hair ends up on the floor with no way to trap what comes off the animal. Don't recommend. I find it too rough on my dog.
