What you can do instead is to lie on your back exhale while you bring your belly button inwards and when you see that the hernia is not showing up anymore you wrap your belly with a postpartum belt

Most sturdy hernia belt i have used it does what it is supposed to do but i would not recommend the product if you have an umbilical hernia following pregnancy as you might also have a diastasis recti
