Pros & Cons
Pros
The book is far more detailed than any prospective reader can imagine. Although the book islengthy, it is a great read. The author did a good job of painting the pictures through words.
Alison weir is one of the best popular historians today. Weir accomplishes. What she sets out to do - provide a richly detailed portrait of life at the court of henry viii. Once again, alison weir delivers.
Cons
Weir devotes little if any time to the politics and events of the day. This is accompanied by mundane and repetitive descriptions of the art, architecture and furnishings of each one.
