The laser function comes in handy when i am doing some measurements and theres no one on the other end to hold the tape measure

The lcd readout is large enough to read and is backlit

The only downside is that the physical tape measure not laser is shorter than what i would like for cases where theres no wall to bounce the laser off

No more trying to weight down one end of a tape measure to try to measure something or worse guessing at the measurement
