The healthsmart seems ergonomically designed compared to any previous thermometer i have used. Easy to rubberized textured grips mean you won't fumble with it. Easy to just sanitize with rubbing alcohol.

This is one amazing well built ir thermometer. It was tested against our pediatrician's thermometer and a braun. It is very accurate if you use it in the ear canal.

Though thirty is surely overkill. All you have to do is hold down the button on the back and rub the tip across your forehead. The only downfall is that i am replacing the batteries every time i need to use it.

The reading is very quick and the readout is clear and bright. The readout panel is very easy to read and does not require you to press another button for illumination (like my braun requires) it stays on to perform a forehead reading.

The veridian digital thermometer takes 30 minutes to reach normal room temp. Despite reading the instructions, nothing worked on this device.

It is a non-returnable item, regardless of the fact that it is broken. It goes in the ear as well as the forehead, that's not sanitary. It's inconvenient to clean it after uses.
