Pros & Cons
Pros
They are very well-made and a perfect fit. They feel comfortable, cradle my ears, and don't detract from the glorious audio enjoyment of my headphones. They are surprisingly easy to install while remaining snug enough to remain on the headset.
There is a right ear pad and a left ear pad. On the original, the right has a red stripe and the left has a blue stripe. There is another vendor selling a zipper cover for the headband that is also great. These are relatively cheap replacements that a... Read More
The only downside to the mdr series is the earpads die regularly. They fit my sony mdr-7509 headset very well. The quality seems to be as good as the original muffs.
The foam is definitely firmer than original pads. Installation takes a few minutes, and i didn't have any of the problems tucking the edges in that some reviewers stated. The pads fit into the grooves around each side of the headphones.
Cons
The elasticized rubber (very cheap and thin) is already wearing. No instructions on how to install. As waste of money. No replacement for the mdr-v600.

The headphones have an eccentric oval shape with the edges varying in width and it is tough to tell exactly how to orient the pads
At the time i didnt realize these were for the v600 and other various headphones
Price
They are a perfect fit they are comfortable and the price was right
Packaging/appearance
The only downside to the mdr series is the earpads die regularly
I had similar ones from another source and they only last 2 years and started to shed the black coating
Competitiveness
My original earpads were deteriorating and these make my 12yearold headphones feel like new
If youve let your earpads go flat and flaky get a pair of these before you buy new headphones

So i gave a medium star rating for installation because if i give 5 star there is always a person who doesnt read directions or thinks because this guy gave a 5 star is reason to plow through the install

Okat any rate the installation is slow and steady for stretching and fitting these new ear pads into the grooves around each side of the headphones

Stretch and pull too hard or too far and it will rip the delicate material of the headset replacement pads
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
These pads are directionally challenged where postings i have seen even by manufacturers say different
