The only problem is that the switcher did not automatically switch back to the cable box when either of the other media devices was turned off so i had to put the cable box to the tv directly via coaxial cable
For an older tv with only one hdmi input this allows you to use hdmi with more than one multimedia device in this case the goal was to use the cable box hdmi output and multimediadvdbluray
