It retains the settings even if you unplug it (or if the electricity goes off) it is very useful to have so many variable settings and programmes. Took 2 minutes to set.

Bought this to run a 500w heater overnight. But i also use this for my lamp beside my bed. Set it up to switch on my pet * tank lights at 7 am and off at 9pm every night.

Immersion heaters are *not an inductive load*, so what's going on? It is hard to use and not intuitive. Had difficulty inserting appliance plugs into both of them.

It works on the initial day, and then thereafter just goes outta sync. Difficult to programme. Failed after 2 weeks.
