Pros

Physical record button actually works, and triggers the software's record button. Software overall is really easy to navigate around, for the main recording purposes you only really need to use the 'capture' &'settings' tab.

Size and styling of the unit is pleasing and fits in well with my decor. Multi-colored illumination band gives no doubt of the status of the device. In my opinion looks cooler, especially when the led lights up.

Elgato:+ sleek looking, very lightweight and portable. Easy to follow interface with many nice to have features. Pretty impressed by the easy functionality and the whole kit s ofar.

Cons

Software program is glitchy at best. The mac program doesn't support streaming to twitch. It stops recording mid-session and my footage often comes out with delayed audio if i record for more than 30 minutes.

The unit contains a splitter inside of it. When passthrough is initiated, it splits the signal to the recording portion of the device.

This miserable paperweight does not work as intended. The only porting for heat to escape is through the bottom. It starts outputting green static, as is, a snowstorm of green across any screen it is connected to.
